Applicants must be entering a 4 year college with the natural science major such as environmental science, biology or botany.  3.0 GPA.

Sierra-Cascade Logging Conference Scholarship:  Deadline 4/24/19
$250-$2000
Complete and submit Universal Scholarship Application  to Mrs. P by 4/18/19 (quick turn around).  This includes the  cover sheet, data sheet, letters of recommendation and transcript.
For students planning on studying Agriculture, Natural Resources, Industrial Technology or related field.  Preference given to students participating in the Forestry Challenge Program.

Siskiyou Performing Arts Center Scholarship 
Deadline: Postmarked by April 19, 2019 
REQUIREMENTS: 
1. Applicants must be a candidate for high school graduation from Siskiyou County. 
2. Applicants must have performing arts experience: Theatre (acting, directing, playwriting)/music/dance. 
3. Letter of interest, including name, mailing and email address, phone number, school currently attending, college plans and performing arts experience. 
4. THREE TYPED letters of recommendation:
 • One letter from a teacher familiar with applicant’s academic performance
• One letter from a community member outside the school setting who is familiar with the applicant. 
• One letter from an individual who is familiar with the applicant’s experience in the performing arts. 
5. A copy of complete high school transcripts; GPA will not be used to determine eligibility.

2019 Record Searchlight Scholar Athlete Award:  Deadline 4/19/19

Thank you for applying to the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, presented by the Record Searchlight and Rotary Club of Redding. In order to be eligible, high school seniors must have a minimum 3.3 GPA for their entire high school career. A senior photo must accompany the application. All nominations are considered by the Scholar-Athlete committee and 12 finalists will be selected. From that group of 12, two will be selected as Male Scholar-Athlete and Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Candidates are reviewed first on academic performance, second on athletic achievement and third on extra-curricular activities, such as leadership roles, community service or employment. ACSA Scholarship (Association of CA School Administrators, Siskiyou Chapter).  Deadline 4/26/19

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior, Min 3.0 GPA.  
Criteria for selection - grade point average, in-school and out of school participation in leadership and activities, plans for college and/or future career training.

Music by the Mountain Carol Medrano Memorial Scholarship;  $2000 award. Carol Medrano was a resident of Siskiyou County and a passionate promoter of Classical Music and music education throughout the county.She served on the boards of both ‘Red Scarf Society’ and ‘Music by the Mountain'. Siskiyou Promise:  Simple on-line application.  Deadline 3/15/19 The College of the Siskiyous Promise is designed to remove the economic barriers to education. The "Promise" is graduating seniors from Siskiyou County and Modoc County high schools will have their enrollment fees, health fee, student representative fee and student center fees fully funded during their first year (consecutive fall and spring semesters) of attendance at College of the Siskiyous, crediting any applicable financial assistance. Promise students will also receive a book voucher for use in the Campus Bookstore during the fall and spring semesters.



Lassen Retriever Club:  Deadline 3/20/19 $2,000

Shasta Lily Quilt Guild:  $1,000  Deadline March 31, 2019.  For graduating seniors from Siskiyou County High Schools pursuing a career in any of the following artistic fields:  quilting, fabric design, fabric or fiber arts, graphic design, fine arts or applied arts.  Min GPA 3.0 through 7 semesters unweighted.  Please submit an official transcript with your application.  Online application form found at http://www.shastalily.org/scholarship-applicaton


Siskiyou Houndsmen & Sportsmen $500 Scholarship Honoring Paul Black:  Due April 30, 2019.  
1) Applicant must have attended a high school in Siskiyou Co. for at least 2 years
2)  Must have a 2.5 total GPA (include transcript)
3)  Must have interest in the sport of hunting and fishing
4)  Must have completed his or her hunter's safety course (include a copy of card OR current hunting license)
5)  Provide a personal letter of recommendation from an employer, family friend, community leader or minister.

Shasta Head Start Eva Johnson Memorial Scholarship.  Deadline April 12, 2019 by 5 PM.  
1)  You must be an alumnus of a Head Start Program and provide documentation of the year and location of the Head Start Program attended as a preschool child
2)  3.0 GPA
3)  participated in community service activities
4)  demonstrate an interest in the welfare of children and families in our community through the submission of a two-page essay
5)  prove you have applied and been accepted to a community college, state college, universty or vocational school for the Fall of 2019 and state intended field of study

Mt. CSU Chico Cora Nixon-Nutson Scholarship:  The window is now open - Jan 2 through Feb. 15.  Be sure to complete this application and get letter of recommendation submitted - the person you recommend will be sent an email and do so online.  This scholarship is for MSHS graduates only.  Access the application by clicking on the link below:

Siskiyou Bowman & Archery Club:  2 Scholarships - Deadline March 31, 2019.  Ryan D. Campbell Memorial:  $500, Zac Martin Scholarship $500.  Ryan Campbell Memorial Schoalrship qualifications:  be pursuing a career in the community/civil services industry - teaching, counseling, youth programs, etc. be a graduating senior from Siskiyou Co, preference given to those students who are active in their community, extra curricular activities and GPA.  Zac Martin:  graduating senior interested in pursuing a career in Natural Resources, Agriculture or Medicine.  See Mrs. Porteous for Applications.

Ford Family Foundation Scholarship:  Deadline March 1, 2019  Requirements:  Be a resident of Siskiyou Co, or Oregon, graduating senior, min gpa of 3.0, goal of earning a bachelor's degree, will attend full time, on campus, no felony convictions or satisfied the terms of any felony conviction by 8/1.  Financial need eligibility:  must file a FAFSA and EFC may not exceed $6,000. Foundation and Family (Dependents of eligible employees of Roseburg Forest Products Co.; parent must have been a full-time employee a minimum of 18 continuous months prior to the March scholarship application deadline).    Apply online @ www.OregonStudentAid.gov.  (Scholarship is through the OSAC).




Grange Co-Op:  Deadline 1/31/19
8 $1,500 scholarships awarded to high school seniors.  Must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have participated in at least one of these activities during the school year.  4-H, FFA, Horticulture, DECA, FBLA, student body leadership, school sports or non-related activities such as work experience.  
In addition, The Rogue Co-ops will award one $2,000 scholarship - same qualifications as above.



Italian Catholic Federation Scholarship:  Deadline 3/15/19.  For student that are a Roman Catholic and of Italian descent and live within the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Arizona, CA, Il & Nevada OR 2) either Roman Catholic parent, guardian or grandparent is a member of the Italian Catholic Federation the student must be Roman Catholic but need not be of Italian descent.  3) 3.2 GPA.  Go to www.icf.org


eQuality Scholarship Collaborative:  Deadline 1.31.19  Must be a resident of northern or central CA, completed or complete high school between July 1, 2014 and June 30 2019, plan to attend or have begun attending an accredited post-secondary institution for the first time in 2019.  This scholarship is to recognize service to the LGBT+ Community.  or more information or to apply go to:  www.equalityscholarship.org


Nor-Cal Retired Coaches Assn. Scholarship:  Deadline 3/9/2019  Up to $2,000. 
Eligibility Requirements: 
  •  graduating from Siskiyou , Shasta, Tehama or Trinity Co.
  • participated in at least 2 seasons of varsity-level CIF sports while in high school - don't have to be the same sport.
  • Min gpa of 2.75
  • submit financial aid documents in order to demonstrate financial need - but please note there is NO specific need cut-off

McConnell Scholarship Program:  Deadline March 5, 2019

Requirements

Eligible applicants to The McConnell Foundation Scholars Program meet all of the following criteria. They:
1. are residents of or attend high school or community college in Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama or Trinity County; Big Valley High School District in Lassen County, or Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District in Humboldt County.
2. have Expected Family Contributions (EFC) of $8,600 or below.
3. will be entering a qualified college or university as a first-time freshman or transfer junior in fall of 2019. Students who are concurrently enrolled in high school and community college, such as those in the College Connection program, are considered incoming freshman for the purposes of this application.
4. will be full-time students.
5. will have graduated from high school, received a GED, or completed an alternative course of study such as home schooling before starting college.
6. will never have been convicted of a felony, or if they have been convicted, will have satisfied all the terms of their conviction including parole before submitting this application.
8. have not already completed a bachelor's degree.
9. are not related to any McConnell Foundation Board member, Program Services staff member, exempt employee, or current McConnell scholarship selection committee member.
10. will be entering a qualified institution as defined by The McConnell Foundation Scholars Program. Qualified institutions are regionally accredited, disburse Federal Student Aid, are not-for-profit, offer the majority of their courses at a physical campus within the United States, and do not discriminate in hiring or services with regards to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, pregnancy, political ideology, age, creed, religion, heritage, ancestry, national origin, veteran status, disability unrelated to job or course of study requirements, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Freemont Foundation Scholarship:

Freemont Foundation announces the 2019-2020Freemont Scholars Awards Program. Andy Peek Livestock Endowed Scholarship Deadline:    December 12, 2018

This fund was established by the Red Bluff Bull and Gelding Sale in honor and memory of Andy Peek. Andy Peek was president of Western Video Market and also General Manager of Shasta Livestock Auction Yard in Cottonwood, California, a family-owned business where he worked for over four decades. He was a past president of the California Livestock Marketing Association and served as a board member for the National Livestock Marketing Association. Andy was a past chairman of the Shasta District Fair Board in California and in 2007 was named Tehama County (CA) Cattleman of the Year. Andy was a major presence in the U.S. livestock industry. To continue Andy’s support of youth programs, this scholarship will be offered annually to students majoring in Agricultural Studies (with a special emphasis in the livestock industry) who share Andy’s desire to work in the industry he dearly loved.
